Dear Coalition Members,

It seems that every time we turn around, our partners at the Office of School and Adolescent Health/DOH, are coming up with another way to raise awareness and help our professionals and community members take action against suicide.
This time they are bringing Dr. Scott Poland (see bio below) to New Mexico during National Suicide Prevention week, which is September 7th through 13th this year.  He will be here for two full days, September 8th and 9th, and everyone should try to take advantage of his free presentations taking place in Albuquerque.
There is a reception for Scott on Tuesday evening, the 9th, that the Coalition is hosting.  This will be a great opportunity to hear Scott Poland, but better yet, to speak with him and all the others from Albuquerque and surrounding communities who are interested in suicide prevention.  Our schools, businesses, and helping agencies will all be there ready to network and share information to move suicide prevention forward in New Mexico.  Please come!  See more information on our website to see what we've got in store to lure you to come!
Registration for all events is free, but in order to plan for the number coming, pretty please register on-line.  It's safe and easy.  Just click here.  This will take you to our website where you can register quickly and also check out what our website has to offer.  Please remember that we are always interested in what you think we can add to make it better.
     Hope to see you!
HINT: The incredible door prizes to be given away at the reception on the 9th will make it even more worth your while! (The Hyatt Regency Albuquerque and Hyatt Regency Tamaya are a few of the door prize donors, so you'll want to be there!)
